It is so good to be home from rehab. They helped me walk again; without a walker or a wheel chair. I have my own thoughts and enjoy being home with the family and visiting friends. I feel fortunate to be alive and recovering. If I were famous, rehab might be glamorous, but I'm pretty ordinary and rehab was a place to wake up, remember home and start back to recovery. Just who the team is remains to be seen, but we are in the middle of finding key people. Just what the recovery process looks like remains to be seen, but I look forward to being done with the "healing process." This whole recovery process seems to me like a time investment and needing patience. I'm not so huge on the patience part and look forward in perhaps picking up a few spare hobbies to ease any extra time issues. Of course, a decent nap should have a big part in any possible new hobbies. Napping, according to the "experts" aids in recovering from traumatic brain injury. I heard rumor that Spencer may no longer be "the dude." My sympathies. Thanks to all who have sent cards and meals and other items. You all are so generous and we all are thankful. Keep us updated with happenings as we enjoy hearing what is happening with you all. Bye for now.

  3. Hey Michelle, great to see you up and typing out a little message. Rest will be good even if you didn't have a car accident, you deserve one after all that school stuff! Yes, Spencer is no longer "The Dude" and I am not sure who he is yet. It's kinda freaky, I keep staring at him and wonder what he did with my husband!! Anyway, at least he's cute enough.

  7. Michelle, I just recently heard about your accident - Praise the Lord for His faithfullness, may He continue to be your source of strength.

I am sure that you will discover hobbies that you will enjoy - who knows you may even discover that they are more fun than going to school and working :)

Take Care and may the Lord continue to keep you and your family in the palm of His hands through the days ahead.

    God Bless, Mary Gomez
