Michele appears to be getting over stimulated. We ask that she has no visitors or phone calls until she gets through this.

Michele has again made good progress. Her memory is starting to peak through. She still can't remember the accident yet. The staff is great and giving her the best care possible. I look forward to hearing from the staff tomorrow.

More of the same today. They are still evaluating her. Wednesday the Therapist's and her Doctor will discuss their assessment of her and try to establish a discharge date. They said she was a little feisty in the morning but she was better later in the day. They set her visiting hours from 4:00 to 5:30. If you go now please limit your time with her. She recognizes people just fine. Thanks again for everyones support.

Not much has changed other than Michele getting tired of her room and the bed. Tomorrow they will finish evaluating her and start rehab.

We got Michele moved to the new facility. The therapist said she would prefer no visitors until next weekend and then only two at a time. They said they would start working with her on Monday. They will work with her for three hours a day M-F.

Great news Michele has been approved to go to the Northern Co Rehab Hospital which was named top 10% of all rehab facilities in the US. She will be moved there tomorrow. If you would like to visit her call the facility to see when you can so it does not interfere with her therapy schedule. She seems to remember people just fine. A specialist looked at her leg and thought it was just nerve damage and will work just fine in time. Shes funny to be around cause its like shes had to much to drink but sober if that makes sense.

Michele had some visitors for about an hour and seemed to have fun. She has started to eat more and more every meal. She had fun talking about a stuffed animal ex specially when it turned a little x-rated. She is ready to go into rehab. She still had good progress today.

Still not eating very much. The physical therapy team worked her pretty good. Still not moving the left leg very much or putting any weight on it. She does not have any tubes going or coming out of her body. She seemed more tired tonight probably because of the pt. This has been an unusual Christmas for our family but special in its own way. God has blessed our family!

Have a Merry Christmas

The Doctors came in this morning and said she was doing much better. They are going to move her to the fourth floor. From there to a rehab facility. They have not given me a release date yet but it may be Friday or Monday. We are working with her to get her to eat. Not much luck today at breakfast. Will try again later.

Dec 23rd. We waited all day to see her improve. We got that wish at about 5:00 pm. She started to keep her eyes open and talk more. I had to take Jessica back to Greeley at 6:00 pm so i left Nicole with her. Michele had called me three times. We had good conversations. When i got back to the hospital she and Nicole were watching a Christmas movie. Michele was sighing along with the songs. She had her first milk shake, ice cream and some mountain dew which she could take the cap off and put it back on. As the night progressed i think she got tired mentally. She called my cell phone and talked to me when i was standing right there. Nicole and i were laughing the whole time. She moved her left toes for the first time. It was a great day.

Michele Up-date 2

Dec 22nd. She is now able to eat and drink although she really didn't want to at this time. They were evaluating her for rehabilitation which could have gone better but she got a little annoyed with them and let them know about it. We conversed more today than any other day. She showed good progress mentally today. Still not sure when we can have visitors or when she will get moved to a rehab center.

Up-date

Dec 21st. She had a MRI so that they could look at neck and her brain closer. Her neck passed with flying colors so she was able to get her neck brace off. It did how ever reveal more of a brain injury than they first thought. They said this injury could take three months at a rehab center before she could come home. Everybody's brain is different she could be fine in a week or months. She made good progress today mentally. She is very strong woman.
